Sweater weather??

It’s still winter in most areas of the world but certainly not in LA.  It almost feels like summer is right around the corner.  I can probably pack up my oversized sweaters for next year, but I just can’t help myself.  I keep them for those off days where the weather drops below 70.  If you are on the lookout for a great oversized sweater, now is the time to purchase.  Many shops are having their end of season sales and I will link some great ones at the end of this post.

I kept todays look simple and sporty with sneakers.  I’ve been a big fan of sneakers lately.  I think it’s the combination of LA casual and mom life.  Who wants to be running after a baby in pumps?!?  Any mom that can do that daily I give major props to.  I know I can barely keep up in my sneakers.  I remember when converse and Adidas originals were the “it” shoes when I was in grade school.  I love how the cycle has come full circle and I’m re-living my childhood with both.

Carlota is wearing her…. or shall I say my favorite “Wondersuits”.  These zipper onesies  come in the cutest patterns and are super handy and easy for multiple diaper changes.  I’m slowly learning that the more convenient the better.

To you mama’s reading my blog…what are your favorite baby clothes or items that make life more convenient?

With love,

Andrea

Ro~Sham~Bo Baby

I melt when it comes to anything baby.  Baby jeans, shoes, hats…the list goes on.  One of the cutest things on a baby are sunglasses.  Maybe its the emphasis of their button nose and rosy cheeks or maybe its because it makes them look grown up.  Whatever the reason, these sunglasses from ro•sham•bo baby are one of my favorites.

Not only are they cute, these shades block 100% of uva/b rays.  Optometrists warn, most lifetime UV damage occurs during childhood.  I’m always careful to protect Carlota’s skin from the harmful rays but I don’t know if I was as aware about damage to her eyes.  I’m thankful to have realized this now.  These shades are made from a flexible and durable material that is certified bpa-free and specially designed for baby’s use and abuse.

The biggest bonus to this company and shades are that all purchases support Surfers Healing, a non-profit that takes autistic kids and their families surfing to provide safe stimulation, fun, and confidence.  I love when there are great products that help support a cause.

Little People Deserve Big People Shades.

Lifes a Beach

Its been a while since my last post.  One of my new year’s resolutions was to try and be more present.  Carlota is growing up very quickly, and I am trying to soak it all in.  Not to mention we’ve been fighting the cold and flu on and off this entire month.  Thankfully it seems like we’re starting to get all better, so fingers crossed it stays that way!

A few weeks ago I was able to bring Carlota home to Canada for a few days.  It was very special seeing her explore the place I called home for most of my life.  It was a short trip and we mostly stayed home with my parents.  Carlota doesn’t get to see her grandparents very often so we were very happy to soak up all those snuggles and kisses.

Valentines day is coming up.  I remember when the hubby and I would get dressed up and go for a romantic dinner.  This year I don’t see that happening.  I think we will spend it at home in our sweats celebrating with our little bug.  I wouldn’t even change this for anything.  If you are looking for outfit ideas this dress is one of my favorites.  I’ve worn it for my maternity photos (here), to a wedding, cocktail hour etc…  It comes in a variety of colors and that zipper in the back transforms it from simple and sophisticated to young and chic.

Thanks for reading, I’m looking forward to sharing some new looks with you soon.
